A golden jubilee for dental therapy
25th Aug 2010|
Dental therapists are invited to join a golden jubilee party – and celebrate 50 years of dental therapy at meeting in London next month.
And the British Association of Dental Therapists (BADT) is celebrating in style at the Cumberland Hotel in London's West End Friday 10 September to Saturday 11 September and promises a programme that includes technical and scientific sessions and practical sessions, presented by excellent speakers. Therapists can learn with Dr Amitha Ranauta, clinical lecturer at Queen Mary & Westfield & Bart's and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. A qualified dentist, Amitha gained her LLM in Legal Aspects of Medical Practice from Cardiff University and has been working on a thesis exploring the topic of professionalism. With this very broad experience, Amithra will be helping delegates understand the role of professionalism in revalidation. Newly qualified dental therapists receive a 50% member discount and pay just £30 in their first year. Students on an approved course can join for free and other members of the dental team, including dentists, hygienists and nurses can join BADT as an Associate Member, at the full rate, of just £60. The theme of the president's dinner will be 'glitz and glamour' and will include a few surprises during the evening. The Cumberland Hotel is offering delegates: |
